Hello Letterpress Lovers,

I'm excited to introduce you to a very talented young lady named Dara, owner and founder of Rafftruck Designs!

Rafftruck Designs is a boutique design & print studio based in lovely Montclair, New Jersey. They have a passion for left-handed lettering, good typography, bold colors and fun-filled patterns! With an appreciation for all things paper, they create custom letterpress stationery, invitations and handcrafted paper goodness.

Below please find a few examples of her fabulous work!

Jennifer’s Summer Bridal Shower Invitations

For this summer bridal shower, I was asked to create something that was fresh and representative of the fun that was to be had, but still keep the idea of a classic style in mind. A whimsical flower and bright pinks and oranges brought the invitation to life while a formal layout kept things traditional. Pulling from the layered style of the flower, I created a scalloped envelope liner to round out the design. The invitations were all letterpress printed on 100% bright white cotton paper which added a nice airiness to the set.

Danna & Hillary’s Romantic Floral Wedding Invitations

I was thrilled to design and print this suite for Danna and Hillary’s autumn wedding in Brooklyn. They shared with me a beautiful floral mood board which acted as the inspiration behind the design.

Danna and Hillary both new what they wanted from the start – a minimalist design with a feminine touch. To accommodate their requests, a neutral color palette and romantic rose envelope liner were used to complement the elegant typography. A badge featuring the couple’s initials (which we also used on their digital Save-the-Date) was featured throughout the suite and on coasters for the reception. As well, a rubber stamp with the design was created to seal the envelopes. All the pieces, from invitations to seating cards to thank yous, were letterpress printed on 100% cotton paper. And the invitation itself was printed on extra thick 220 lb. paper to give it that little something extra! In the end, it was the perfect combination of simple and sweet.

 And Lastly, (my favorite!)

Gracie Rose's Liberty of London Bridal Luncheon Invitations

Rather than a traditional bridal shower, Gracie had a bridal luncheon the morning of her vintage chic backyard wedding. A beautiful floral Liberty of London fabric set the tone for the day’s festivities so I knew I should incorporate the vibrant pattern into the invitations.

I started with bright, bold summer colors and selected a script font with lots of personality. A paper bag envelope and the amazing Liberty of London fabric envelope liner completed the look. The invitations were letterpress printed on 100% off-white cotton paper which added the perfect amount of rustic romanticism to this bridal luncheon invitation.
