I hope everyone is enjoying this crisp air as we near toward the end of September!
I've been working hard on putting together the welcome bags for our September 28th Wedding & thought I'd share a little how-to on putting together cute & budget friendly hotel welcome bags!
First thing's first-You need to decide which kind of bag you'd like. My personal favorite are the classic kraft bags.
After you've purchased your bags you need to decide what you'd like to put on them. You can go in a few different directions
For these bags, I chose to use a stamp. The bride's theme is mason jars so in keeping with the theme I went with a mason jar stamp and used purple twine for the bow! How cute??
Next up, figuring out what to put in the welcome bags. There are three thing's that are a MUST in every welcome bag.
# 1 is the shuttle information or wedding itinerary for a weekend wedding
# 2 & # 3 go hand in hand. Advil/Tylenol & a bottle of water :)
These are the three items that every guest will be looking for, all the rest are just added bonuses.
Here's a list of other welcome bag goodies:
Candy bar/Granola bar/Some kind of snack
Food or drink specific to the location
Mini bottles of liquor (Fireball is a fan favorite)
Maps of the area/List of local attractions
The options are endless here but I'd stick to 5-6 items!
I made 15 welcome bags and the total came to $50. (not including the stamp) Not too shabby :)
